Babies cost so much and they are such a lot of work in the beginning. I felt like we finally had Becca over the difficult stages. She was potty trained, eating the same food as us, sleeping through the night in her own bed, happy at her school and I was happy at work, she was over all her baby ear infections (with the grommets in, tonsils and adenoids out), we'd done all the injections etc. It was very daunting to decide, ok, let's do it all over again with the next one.
But we did or are busy doing it all again with Laria. She needs nappies, she doesn't sleep through and she needs different food. Yet I am so glad we did decide to have another one. She's amazing but I think the best part is her relationship with Becca.
Becca calls Laria, her baby. She absolutely adores her. She runs to greet her every morning, she's always there with a dummy if Laria cries and they already play and fight (this morning L bit B) together. L thinks the world revolves around Becca. She always listens for her and watches for her. She cries if Becca leaves the room. The second she starts crawling I don't think she'll ever be but half a metre away from her big sister ever again.
The relationship they have is already so special. It's beautiful to watch it unfold and grow. They're so very lucky to have each other and I'm so very blessed to have both of them.
